The Mindlabs building - completed in 2021 - is at the heart of Tilburg's Spoorzone; the area north of the city centre. Right next to the LocHal, to be precise.
The MindLabs building is an innovation centre where education, research and business reside under one roof. Its proximity contributes to a vibrant ecosystem in which partners collaborate on innovation. The beautiful building offers all kinds of opportunities for meeting, inspiration and research. MindLabs provides a diverse and appealing programme throughout the year. Check our agenda for this.
Owners are the municipality of Tilburg and Fontys, which houses the Journalism program here. Other MindLabs partners rent part of the building. Larger tenants are in DPG Media, Yonder, Tilburg University and Zwijsen.
MindLabs is located on the site of Hall 70. This old railroad hall was renovated and expanded with new construction to a design by Ector Hoogstad Architects. The steel trusses of Hall 70 have been reused. The central part - called Bruisend Hart, is a “trading floor for knowledge with space for exhibitions, manifestations and for informal get-togethers.
